Reference: Matthew 5:14-16 | 2 Corinthians 5:17
Many times when the light goes out or it’s dark we expect
someone else to turn on their torch. We sometimes forget that
the phones we carry have the same capabilities or that we have
a torch of our own. As Christians, we are light. Imagine after the
torch is turned on it’s placed under a garment or a hand
obstructs, it will attract a lot of comments because it’s turned
on to dispel darkness and allow visibility. When we received
Christ into our lives He made us beacons of His love, to express
what He has put in us to others. To exhibit our new nature. We
must never think that it’s another person that is meant to shine
- Our Pastor etc. Through every single one of us, people must
come into Christ. Just as the glory of light isn’t hidden and it
attracts attention we must attract people to Christ and not
hide. Others must glorify God because of us.
Take a moment to Think and Declare
How am I shining my light? Who am I drawing to Christ?
Declaration
Heavenly Father, today I choose to be a beacon that leads
many to Ypu. I choose to be a light that shines for all to see.
