As we step into 2024, it’s important to acknowledge that the previous years may have brought some bitter experiences and negative cycles that have weighed heavily on your spirit. These events may have led you to feel defeated in various aspects of your life. However, it's time to lift your eyes—GOD is doing something new! GOD is present in your life, right at your doorstep; you need to behold HIM!
When we behold GOD, we choose to embrace and see truth—truth that transcends our past experiences. For example, just because you’ve faced a failed relationship doesn’t mean that all relationships are doomed. You may have been conditioned by hardship, leading you to adopt a negative mindset about how things should be. In this season, GOD is inviting you to unlearn and relearn principles based on HIS truth, as revealed in HIS WORD. This is precisely what JESUS came to do: to redefine and refine our understanding.
GOD desires your active participation in this transformative journey. To make this new beginning a success, you must let go of the old. The phrase “Do not call to mind the former things” urges you to forget the past entirely. This means refraining from dwelling on negative memories or experiences. Instead, replace those thoughts with positive affirmations rooted in the WORD of GOD.
Recognize that past thoughts can become strongholds in your mind. Therefore, it’s essential to meditate frequently on positive truths found in Scripture to extinguish old, unfruitful thinking.
Moreover, when it says “pay no attention,” consider the cost of your focus. Attention is a valuable currency—do not spend it on feelings of depression or discouragement! Even when faced with triggers that evoke fear, anxiety, or worry, choose to ignore them and direct your thoughts toward the WORD of GOD, which embodies truth. Remember, the enemy often tries to convince you of an identity contrary to what GOD declares about you. That’s why keeping the Bible close as your companion is crucial.
Today, decide to see through the lens of faith because your thoughts shape your vision, and your vision determines your destiny. Envision rivers flowing even in the most challenging circumstances; see a way out of your current struggles. GOD has already made a path for you, and you must believe this not just because I say so but because HIS WORD affirms it.
Tell yourself: “2025 is going to be a GOOD YEAR!” The new has arrived, and I am ready to embrace the truth that will propel me into greater glory and destiny.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank YOU for making all things new. Please help me to behold it and leave the past. Please help me to make YOUR WORD my companion so that I will live in JOY and PEACE in JESUS mighty name. AMEN.
