As we reflect on the year 2024, it is essential to remember and celebrate the goodness of GOD. GOD has been remarkably good, kind, and faithful throughout this year. HIS constant presence has kept us moving forward and protected us, serving as evidence that HE is not finished with us yet.
In the spirit of the psalmist's words from Psalms 103:1-5, let us acknowledge that the GOD of the Bible is also the GOD of today. Many blessings and miracles have occurred in our lives this past year, often unnoticed. This Psalm paints a vivid picture of our deliverances and GOD's unwavering help. We are reminded of HIS kindness, forgiving us despite our shortcomings and healing us from various ailments. HE has rescued us from dire situations and crowned us with love and mercy, satisfying our every desire with good things. Indeed, we have experienced moments that brought smiles to our faces and relief to our hearts.
Forgiveness is a fundamental aspect of our relationship with GOD. Unlike many human relationships that struggle to recover from hurt, GOD's forgiveness is complete; HE wipes our slates clean, allowing us to start anew. How often have we felt unwell or in pain, only to find relief after a whispered prayer? GOD has saved us countless times, even when we may not have recognized it.
Moreover, as we consider the simple act of waking up each day, we realize that it is not merely due to alarms or healthy habits; it is GOD's sustaining power that keeps us safe. As expressed in Psalms 3:5, "I lay down and slept; I awakened, for the Lord sustains me." Sleep serves as a reminder of our vulnerability and need for restoration.
Let us take this opportunity to give praise for all that GOD has done. By showing gratitude, we open ourselves to experiencing HIS continued blessings—much like when JESUS gave thanks over bread, resulting in a miraculous multiplication to feed thousands.
Let us acknowledge GOD's goodness throughout 2024 and express our heartfelt thanks for HIS kindness and rich mercy. May we carry this spirit of gratitude into the new year, ready to witness even more of HIS goodness in our lives.
