He will never slumber nor sleep; He is the Guardian-God for His people, Israel. Yahweh Himself will watch over you; He’s always at your side to shelter you safely in His presence. He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night. He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity as He continuously watches over you. You will be guarded by God Himself. You will be safe when you leave your home, and safely you will return. He will protect you now, and He’ll protect you forevermore!

I have been privileged to be in spaces that had security personnel serving as a level of protection for the facilities they guarded. Often at night, one thing is certain—sleep can come easily. I have heard of instances where security personnel slept so soundly that they did not hear their employer return or notice thieves entering. In other cases, security personnel fled their posts when danger approached.
Our GOD does neither of these. HE never sleeps nor slumbers. Moreover, HE does not run from danger. In John, HE calls HIMSELF the GOOD SHEPHERD, who protects the sheep from wolves and predators, in stark contrast to the bad shepherd who flees at the first sign of trouble.
Secondly, a security personnel is employed because the owner of the facility cannot secure their property alone. We often see others step in when the main person cannot show up. GOD always shows up. and for your sake never goes on a break and never grows tired. GOD intends to be with us by HIMSELF. HE is not incapable of keeping us safe. Not only that, HE is right by our side, serving as our shelter—a place of refuge, rest, and safety.
While security personnel are limited in their ability to protect, GOD is able to keep us from every harm; nothing is too hard for HIM or eludes HIS watchful eye. HIS guard over us is continuous; HE does not shift responsibilities with anyone else. HE is constantly and always at HIS “post.” Not only is HE stationed roundabout that which concerns you; HE is with you wherever you go, ensuring that you come and go blessed!
Many times I have seen important individuals surrounded by numerous personnel for different functions—a group for their residence, another for escorting them, and so on. With GOD keeping you, HE is more than enough to ensure your all-around protection, even concerning those matters that weigh on your heart.
GOD is your reliable protector. Look to HIM for help; HE will not run in the face of difficulty.
