The Nature of Planning
Planning is an integral part of our lives. We organize our days, weeks, months, and even years. Our lives are filled with various plans?pension plans, school timetables, and more. Despite our confidence in these arrangements, we often encounter situations where our expectations do not align with reality. Sometimes, what we perceived as good turns out differently than we hoped.
Moreover, we must acknowledge that there are evil plans at play in the world, influenced by dark forces. This reality can lead us to distrust others; we hear phrases like, ?Fear human beings, don?t trust anyone,? as we grapple with the pervasive nature of evil.
In such a dark world, kind individuals stand out as rare gems. This rarity highlights the importance of genuine goodness and integrity. While others may have plans for us?whether they be our bosses, parents, or acquaintances?those plans can vary in their impact and can be evil in nature.
It is natural to feel excitement when we learn of someone?s good intentions toward us. Today?s scripture reminds us that GOD has plans for us, even when we may be unaware of them. We often bring our own plans to HIM but forget that as our MAKER, HE designed us with a specific purpose in mind. While many things are created for harmful purposes?such as weapons or destructive technologies?we were made for good plans that GOD predestined for us (Ephesians 2:10).
GOD's intentions for us are marvelous and known to HIM. The Hebrew word for "know" is yada, which means to intimately know. This means GOD is deeply involved in every aspect of our lives?a testament of HIS immanence.
GOD describes our destiny as marvelous, indicating HIS wonderful intentions for our lives. The Hebrew word machashabah means to "make plans," suggesting that GOD is continually crafting new ideas for us. HE is an eternal inventor, always finding new ways to express HIS endless love.
These divine plans are designed to bring us shalom?peace and prosperity. Often, achieving this peace may require overcoming battles; GOD will fight on our behalf to ensure we experience true peace and prosperity.
Live today knowing that your MAKER has good plans for you and has filled your life with hope. Remember that your present and future are beautiful and divinely orchestrated by GOD ALMIGHTY. You have no reason to fear! Unlike human promises that may falter, GOD has a perfect track record; HE is faithful and capable of fulfilling HIS word.
