We all feel ready to possess and attain heights in life at certain stages. We feel we have arrived and are ready to become partakers of a certain level of wealth or a position. It seems to me that God never excuses the process no matter how talented one is. David was good with music and instruments. Elijah was anointed. Jesus was anointed, humble and the very Son of God. He was powerful and had no sin in Him but in all these instances God never took away the wilderness experience. The wilderness is a training ground. It’s cold, hot, it’s discomforting, but God constantly takes His servants through it to make them better. The Bible says the Israelites went through the wilderness to get rid of wrong attitudes and that’s the same for us. God doesn’t want the blessing to destroy us so He trains us and makes us stewards of them at the right time. Let us trust His judgement.
Take a moment to Think and Declare
Am I being patient to see the promises of God?
Declaration
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege to go through the wilderness. I pray or grace to go through faithfully and trust You to bring me to an expected end in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
